Start a Dieting Group

Look around at work, at school or in your neighborhood – you are not the only one, who needs to lose a few pounds (or more), so why not try to form a dieting group. You can prepare meals and activities together, and generally support each other. It will make dieting easier and more fun for all of you.

Just print out a few Group invitation posters, write start date and your name and contact info (could be email or phone or department or whatever), cut at the dotted lines, and post them in places, where people will notice. A tip for you if you want people to sign up fast: Rip off 1 or 2 of the slips – many people are more likely to be interested, if it looks like they are not the first to join.

Depending on where and how many you are, you can plan activities that will help you all succeed – like a walk before or after work, cook and eat together, also in weekends etc. Larger groups at companies might be able to persuade the canteen to prepare the food for each day of the diet – be creative, think big and grow small…
